fun at work

fun incident #1 : playing a prank on mekan..
mekan's one of my colleagues.. and (i forgot which day dla dat all this happened) mekan bought McD for himself and me and yi lyn.. yi lyn's and my drink had an insect in it (ugh) so we decided to throw it away.. then throughout da nite, mekan took his time drinkin his coke.. at one point, he left to go to da toilet la.. so i decided to play a prank on him wif yi lyn.. we poured out his coke into a glass and kept it in the fridge.. then we added chilli sauce, water, salt, lemon juice and tiramisu syrup into his now empty coke cup.. gosh, too bad i was too busy laughing like mad (til i almost got stomach cramp) dat i couldnt take a pic of mekan's facial expression when he finally drank it.. hehe..

fun incident #2: all in a day's work ('',)
one day, miss aw yi lyn decided to wash da freezer dat we used to store da ice cream.. so after transferring all da ice creams to another freezer, we started cleanin the freezer, or shud i say, we start havin fun playin wif da ice aka 'snow' hehe..

my failed attempt at makin a snowball.. it wasnt my fault i failed k, it was meltin.. and alex (our head chef) took this whole chunk and put in into rafi's (one of the kitchen crew) shirt.. haha..

first, use a scoop to scoop up the ice.. if u dun have one, u can use ur hands (not recommended though, cuz ur hands will be super cold and numb in the end, hehe)

then put it into a cup or bowl..

add in the desired syrup

or flavouring ('',) and voila! it's ready to eat.. haha.. and once again, the kitchen crew took it from us and had a lil snow fight, sort of.. rafi took da whole thing in his hand and wanted to throw it to either hasrul or alex and plan backfired when it broke in his hand and he got wet instead.. haha..

recent events..

first of all, sry everyone for constantly bloggin bout my work.. but wel, da fun and interesting things dat has happened to me for the past few days occur during work..

fun event number 1 : valentine surprise..
ok well, i actually blogged bout this event dla.. where a rilli romantic guy did so many things for his gf.. i forgot to take pic of his roses, but i did rmb to take pic of the table we decorated for him.. hehe..


oh ya, and i was busy days b4 valentine, having to fold hearts and string 7 hearts together on one string (as decoration for the restauratn).. (pic below:) there are six here.. i had to make 12 in total.. swt case.. (in total, i hadta fold 84hearts, swt-ness)



fun event number 2 : sue lyn's farewell..
ok, sry if sum ppl take it the wrong way.. sue lyn leavin to new zealand is not wat i mean by a fun event.. wat i meant as fun event is us frens going out, havin lunch together, talkin and having fun together ('',) anyway, 18th feb, during my 3hour break, sue lyn, kar pei, yi lyn and i went to sushi king to eat.. (i love sushi!! haha)

fun event number 3: proposal..
a guy came in our restaurant 2 days back holdin a bouquet of red roses.. he passed it to us to ask us to help him keep it.. and he'll wave to us as a signal to bring da bouquet to him..

the bouquet of roses.. there were 11 roses!!!!!!! oh wel, to those who dun know, 11 roses has a sweet meanin in mandarin.. i dun know whether my hanyin pinyin is correct anot la.. but it goes sumthin like this.. 'yi shen yi shi zhi ai ni yi ge' which means ''now and forever, i will only love you'' ('',)

and when i brought the flower out to the guy, the guy proposed to his gf.. so sweet.. hehe..

my ''valentine's'' celebration..

this is da first valentine i actually celebrated.. oh wel, if u consider workin 13hours straight as celebratin, then yea, i did.. ok, let's start off from da very beginning..

went to work at 11.. work like usual.. then 2 sumthin gettin ready to go home to rest for awhile.. suddenly so many customers came in at the same time.. so, miss dunno-how-to-make-da-drinks aka me hadta take over cuz da bartender's nt around at dat time.. wel, luckily da customers ordered fruit juices la.. so i did trial and error until i got da right amount of fruits to use.. anyway, cuz of da customers, in the end i din get to go home la.. but da gud part is our boss lady asked us wat we want to eat then ask da kitchen staff to cook for us.. sanjeevwa ordered da fettucine con pollo.. yi lyn n i shared fettucine carbonara and chicken italian sausage..

and valentine's day also happens to be our boss lady's birthday.. so we (da other boss, service crew and kitchen crew) decided to share and buy a cake for her.. but there were problems along da way.. and da boss lady's relatives also came and bought a cake for her.. so in da end, we decided to jus tel her we bought a cake for her.. surprise ruined but still, it's da thought dat matters rite.. hehe.. but we get to eat da secret recipe cake cuz her relatives came b4 and they're rilli nice ppl la.. btw, da cake was da mango wan.. always wanted to try it.. yummy.. hehe..

then, auntie's relatives keep teasing yi lyn and i wif sanjeevwa.. and our replies were pretty mean la.. but sanjeevwa was very sporting about it.. haha.. then, b4 he leave for home, he suddenly called us both over and....... gave us each a valentine's gift.. we felt so bad after dat, cuz we were pretty mean to him b4 dat.. but when we opened and saw for ourselves wat he gave....... ok, we dun feel bad anymore.. haha, whoever wana know wat he gave, ask me la.. i wont type it out here ('',)

at night, it was a full house.. once, at tryin to avoid a crowd of ppl which i din see til da las minute, i walked into da tray containing da plates and one of da plates fell to da floor and broke.. oh, and one of my tuition mates from ms lee's tuition who i've nvr spoken to b4 in tuition came to eat at el mondo too.. haha.. then, er, there was a whole lot of frustration dat occured thru out da night.. like boss scoldin us for groupin together n not servin customers when we were actually waitin to get the bill and change from da cashier.. food passed on to us to be served when da food was not ordered by any customers.. not havin enuf plates and cutleries for customers to use.. customers comin in non-stop when we dun hv time to even clean up da tables.. bla bla bla..

oh ya, have i mentioned i worked 13HOURS straight? thank God i have da morning off today b4 i hafta go to work tonight.. or else, i think i'll be lookin like a zombie and scare away da customers instead d.. hehe ('',)

Happy Valentine's Day

oh ya, it's past midnight now.. so, to all da lovebirds out there, Happy Valentine's Day!!!

and to all da single ones, may u find dat special person in ur life soon.. in the meantime, Happy Singleton's Day! let's all celebrate our singlehood together.. haha..

valentine's eve..

valentine's eve and already there's an interesting event at my work place..
a guy made a reservation for da night for two ppl aka him and his gf/wife la (dunno da state of their relationship, hehe)
he ordered a bouquet of roses for her w/o her knowin n asked da florist to send it to our place to keep for him first.. (and he asked us to bring da flowers out when we serve their dessert xD)
so, he came early to check dat everything was in order..
dat was when he realised there was only 9 roses in da bouquet.. there was suppose to be ten because it was their 10th anniversary.. there were 3 purple ones, 3 pink ones and 3 beige ones..
he ran to tesco to buy a red rose and back to el mondo to add in the red rose in da bouquet..
he even bought a present for her and pulled her chair for her when she was gonna sit..

gosh, wat a romantic gentleman.. and i was thinkin guys like him are already extinct, haha..

oh ya, another 'interestin' event.. miss janice ooi suddenly msg-ed me and asked me whether i was workin.. i was wonderin why she asked so.. and my question was answered when hui ting, hwei yuin and her walked into da restaurant i was workin at.. and this janice keep laughin whenever i walk pass her.. swt case.. ('',)

my first job

finally after two months of holiday, workin my ass off preparing for CNY, browsing around for guitars and guitar lessons and finding for a job, i found a job! hehe..

for some who i've already told, u know dla.. for those who don't, oh well.. i'll be workin at el mondo pizza which is at egate (beside subway, at one end of the shoplots)

and for those who think this name sounds familiar, it's because aw yi lyn is also workin there.. haha.. i've heard many interestin responses so far.. one would be from patsy... ''da whole place is gonna runtuh cuz u both are so noisy'' haha..

ok then, shall be continuing my 'guess the sketch challenge' game on facebook now (so addicted to dat game now, hehe).. so, do drop by el mondo if u guys have some free time, so dat i will have ppl to talk to.. haha.. cya..
